Headaches

Headaches can be intrusive, long lasting and take many forms. Migraines are generally poorly understood but can be completely debilitating. Commonly, medication of varying strength and type is prescribed for headaches but sometimes this may not be preferred or completely successful.

As clear a clinical understanding as possible of your headache is important before commencing treatment, Osteopathic or not. Occasionally further tests may need to be undertaken to make sure that you receive the most appropriate treatment and this can be arranged in conjunction with your GP.

Osteopathic treatment can have a profound effect on headaches due to its all inclusive approach to treatment. It may be that a small amount of treatment is all that is required but the work, lifestyle or nutritional issues that may be noted and advised upon during treatment prevent the headaches occurring or reduce their impact to a manageable level.

You do not need to be registered with the medical centre to receive Osteopathic treatment for headaches, why not call for a chat about your symptoms or make an appointment?
